The Australia team had some of their teammates speak on the topic of unity and share different scriptures. Ben and Jared led us with a night of worship. It was such a blessing to have friends to worship alongside us and sing familiar songs that were special to us, like "How he loves us," by John Mark Mcmillan. Worshiping our Savior that night, Holy Spirit was filling the room. Afterwards, the Australia team prepared some hilarious games. One of them was an eating contest. It was Kona vs. Australia at first...each participant had a plate with a food item on it (peanuts, butter, sugar). Each person in the line had to chew their food, spit it out on their teammates plate, and this food was passed down the line. So gross! The last person, Marisa W., had to eat all of the food that had already been chewed and spit out, wrapped in a piece of white bread! Luckily, the Kona team won and we didn't have to compete against Abba House!
Dave (Abba House) vs. Australia team!
The Kona team, minus Allysha!
Another game...
Allysha and Faa had to compete by eating a banana through a pair of stockings that was pulled over their faces! Hilarious!
Ben and Laa playing "Elevator." Here the idea was to raise up an M&M by pulling up the strings that were wrapped around his ears and eating the M&M before the other player!
After the games, there were many skits performed! One of the skits our team performed was the story of the Good Shepherd and the Lost Sheep! The girls from Abba house sang songs that night, Allysha peformed a Hula Dance to "Shout to the Lord," and everyone enjoyed each others company! We brought in the New Year with a dance party and a countdown to 2011! Right after the new year, we ran outside and released "Thai Lanterns" into the sky. It was beautiful and such a new experience! We released three lanterns and sent each one up with a prayer for the new year.
There they go!
Have a Wonderful New Year!!!
Love-Thailand Team!
